Hey guys 🙂 I thought it would be fun to start documenting my fitness journey here. I’ve been on this journey for almost 3 years now! I can’t even believe it.

The first 2.9 years I spent trying to find a good balance of fitness and nutrition without putting too much pressure on myself. It’s actually a lot harder than it sounds! I’m at the point now where I feel relaxed and happy in the gym instead of stressed out and lost. I also eat exactly what I want, I just always choose the healthiest option no matter what.

So anyways yesterday was my first day back in over a week because I had a bad cough. It felt soo good to walk in there and get right to business. I knew I wanted to do cardio since I had been out, so that’s exactly what I did.

I did 40 minutes on the StairMaster at level 6. I burned over 300 cals and I freaking felt it, man. I was so tired, my legs were so exhausted. The type of workout I did was on interval inclines, so there would be one minute of high incline and then one minute with hardly any incline.

The high incline was broken up into 3, 20-second stages. On the first stage, I did kick-backs with my left leg. On the middle stage, I walked up the stairs in a squat position. On the last stage, I did kick-backs with my right leg. On the barely-there-incline, I walked normal. It was so hard and my legs hurt so bad. But I loved it!

After the StairMaster, I did some arm exercises just to warm up for a good, long arm day later this week. I don’t usually count reps anymore (another way I take the pressure off myself), I just repeat the move until I am utterly exhausted. Then I’ll take a 10-15 second break and do another set. Here’s what I did yesterday:

Lateral raise
Butterfly press
Shoulder press

I maxed out every set and then repeated this pattern 4 more times. My arms were burning. And I only used 5lb weights! I’m saying, you don’t have to go into the gym and work yourself into oblivion every single time. Slow and steady wins the race. I’m in no hurry.

Anyways soon I’ll start posting progress pictures. I have some already of the last 2 months but I’m practically naked LOL. Now that I know I’ll be posting here, I’ll make them more appropriate. What do you guys think, should I post more fitness stuff? Let me know!
stay sweaty, Hannah
